Portchain’s Berth Optimization Engine (BOE) deployed within Container Terminal 3 – Tanger med II operated by Tanger Alliance
Portchain, a provider of Artificial Intelligence solutions to optimize quayside operations for container terminals and carriers, announce today that Tanger Alliance, a greenfield terminal that went live on Jan 1 2021, has selected Portchain’s Berth Optimization Engine to optimize berth planning and enable its customers to monitor berth status in real time.
Portchain’s Berth Optimization Engine has digitized the planning process and enabled optimized resource allocation. Furthermore, Portchain helps berth planners evaluate different scenarios and their KPIs to select the most cost-effective plan and quickly respond to new customer information, increasing the reliability and predictability of the plan. The AI-driven optimization software further assists planning staff by automating resource allocation for all vessels simultaneously. All in all, this assists the berth planners in finding the optimal plan to increase capacity or reduce operational costs.
